BTC19 TX2
BTC3 is the Baden-Powell Service Association’s (BPSA) 3-day training program for adult leaders and Rover Scouts. All leaders should attend one during their first year.
When you attend a BTC weekend, you will come away with important information regarding what traditional scouting is all about, how to lead a scouting program and keep youth in your charge safe. At the same time, BTC is a really fun experience in its own right. Most participants can easily pass their tenderfoot requirements and become a Rover Squire by the end of the weekend.
The expanded “BTC3” format includes experiential Otter, Timberwolf and Pathfinder content along with important discussions for Rovers. Leaders leave BTC3 with a working knowledge of all four traditional scouting sections.
COST
The fee for the event is $55 per person. This will cover supplies, site costs, and food. You can send your payment via PayPal
Other costs: You must be a registered BPSA scout to sign up and attend a BTC. If you are not yet registered, please note that will be an additional cost. Please contact us to get registered as a scout!
DATE &LOCATION
Start: Friday, November 1st at 3 PM
End: Sunday, November 3rd at 7 PM.
Location: Palmetto State Park in Gonzalez, TX
ITEMS TO BRING
- Tent/sleeping gear (tent, sleeping bag, pad, etc)
- Personal dining gear (mess kit, cup, utensils, reusable water bottle)
- Personal toiletries
- Outerwear, footwear, extra socks, etc.
- Rain gear (be prepared)
- Pocket knife
- Flashlight or headlamp
- Folding camp chair
- Your Rover Scout uniform
- Rover Scout handbook along with a notebook and pen for note-taking
We may have extra camp supplies to lend, such as a tent, sleeping bag, etc., if you require any items please indicate under special considerations on the sign up form.
REGISTRATION
For registration as part of our group (13th BPSA) you can list the “Scout Group you are with” as 2nd Provisional on the registration form below.
Please register by October 15th, 2019.
